Who are you? +

I’m Melinda Harcourt, a freelance copywriter in Melbourne who really likes hot chips. Learn more about me.

Where are you based? +

I’m based in Melbourne, but I’ve worked with businesses Australia-wide - one of the perks of being a freelance copywriter.

Can we meet in person? +

Meeting in person isn’t necessary when it comes to writing. We can get the ball rolling on your project via email or over the phone.

However, if you’re simply dying to put a face to name, we can have a chat about it…maybe.

Who do you like working with? +

I’ve worked with businesses from all sorts of industries. From fast fashion to beauty, health, white goods, transportation, trades and much more, you can rest assured that I've diversified my copywriting expertise.

I do have a soft spot for small businesses and start-ups because they’re often the ones that are the most excited about their passion project.

I’m on a tight budget, what are your prices? +

I personally prefer to charge based on projects, rather than by the hour or word. This ensures that you get the most value for your investment.

Do you offer discounts? +

I’m happy to work out a package deal for you if it’s a large or ongoing project. Everyone loves a cheeky discount!

What payment methods do you accept? +

Bags of gold coins, and upon receipt, I will scurry off and hide under a bridge. Otherwise, my preferred payment method is via direct bank transfer.

I don’t need new copy; can you just edit what I've already written? +

I sure can. Sometimes clients prefer this when they need to launch their product quickly and affordably.

However, there are times where I’ve determined that the existing copy simply won’t work, in which case I’ll let you know that it needs to be written from scratch.

How soon can you deliver the final version? +

This depends on the size and scope of your project. As an eager beaver, I tend to under-promise and over-deliver. You can sleep soundly at night knowing that I’ll stick to our agreed timeframes.

If your project needs to be completed urgently or the deadlines have been brought forward, please let me know as soon as possible. Depending on how tight the timeframe is, I may need to charge an additional rush fee.

I’m so glad you asked! My favourite stand-up comedians are Michael McIntyre and Tom Segura.
